Another MSC penguin card...so cute! Again, the yellow for the lemonade, the green straw, the silver on the sunglasses and the little black tie on his swim trunks are vinyl. The tube is glossy vinyl, the rest ir textured card stock. When I cut paper piecings I always cut more than one, it is just so much easier this way.

Day 405
I am not sure if I am going to put anything else on this card or leave it the way it is. This penguin is part os a group called beach penguins from My Scrap Chick. They are so much fun to make and so darn cute. The silver on the sunglasses and the yellow stripe on the surf board are vinyl, the rest is coredinations paper.

Day 402
My nephew's girlfriend is expecting a baby girl right around Christmas and my sister asked if I would make shower invites. Here are the 3 samples I made for her to choose from. All are cut on the Klic N Kut, all embossed with the Cuttlebug. All 3 are cards that open and the shower information would be inside. We have lots of great nieces and nephews and they come in streaks. The last streak has been 4 girls in less than 2 years.

Day 401
I made this card for a friends anniversary! It is a free file from Monica Bjork. It cut great. She has many free files so check it out. I used a red gemstone paper and because the inside is a darker shade it would have looked good just like that but anything you wrote inside could be seen through the lattice. So I lined it with a white. The liner is included in the file but if using a paper with a " good side and a bad side" remember to mirror one half.

I saw a card with a sailboat on it and thought it would be so easy to make with the KNK shape tools. And it was pretty simple. The Happy Birthday was cut from vinyl. It makes a sweet card for a sweet little boy.

Day 398
I saw this saying somewhere and liked it and thought it would make a nice tile. So here it is. It was designed in KNK studio, cut on the KNK from black vinyl, and applied to a tile.

Day 397
This is the result of 2 different cutting files. The frame with the ABC is from the Quilling Patch, the back to school crayons is from Kitty's Cuttings at Visual Designs by Chris. The Black back to school ovals, the black and silver stripes on the crayons, and the black on the pencil is vinyl, the rest is coredinations paper. I made 2, one for my grandson even though he is not in school yet, and one for the first person who says " send it my way" !

A simple Thank You card. The Thanks was a digital stamp, the black scallop cut on my Klic n kut. One, two three and it's done. :O)

Day 395
My daughter is on vacation this week at a lake cottage about 15 minutes from our house. We went to see them today and beside their 4 and 1 year old they had their 2 nieces and 1 nephew who are about 7, 5 and 3. They were fishing and catching little blue gills as fast as their Grampa could bait the hooks and dad/uncle could get the fish off and throw them back in. Sometimes 4 little ones would be standing there with fish on their poles, it was pretty cute.
This card was made with a $1 My Scrap Chick file. I cut the white top layer from vinyl, then black coredinations, then a white gemstones for the background white layer.. I love black and white!

Day 394
This card uses the same digital stamp as day 390. The "Just a Note" is computer generated. The circle is cut on my KNK, and the pink paper is stamped with pink ink and with versa mark and clear embossing powder.

Day 393
My daughter told me she got an "ugly Birthday card from Grama", my mom, and that Grama wrote she was out of cards. My daughter said I needed to make some more for cards for Grama. This is another card using a file from Chris at Visual Designs. I love that Happy Birthday to you and it makes such a sweet, quick, card.

Day 392
Both of these card were made using cutting files from Chris at Visual Designs. The file is called tree ovals I think. It cut great using the KNK.

Day 391
Christie from Creations by Christie showed how to used embossing powder to make paper look like metal. I wasnted to make a card using a heart cut from a free file from Judy at http://www.littlebit.com/. but I didn't have the "perfect paper". So I cut the heart from plain red cardstock. I then applied versamark to the heart by turning the pad upside down and pouncing it on the paper. I applied a clear embossing powder and heated it. The picture on the left is a picture of the paper the heart was cut from and the heart after it was "embossed" On the right is the card that I made using the heart. The "congratulations on your engagement" was written using the KNK . The dots are dots of vinyl.

Day 390
Happy Birthday Jodie! My daughter is 33 today! She was born a year and a day after her brother Matt. This was a digital stamp that I colored. I don't own copics and the image was printed with regular ink so it wasn't waterproof so it limited what I was able to use for coloring. I used colored pencils and stickles on the wings.

Day 387
My grandkids just went to the Milwaukee Zoo and they have some great pictures. www.myscrapchick.com just added a great zoo file to their site so it was the perfect solution! I made 2 of the frames and 2 of each animal, now it is up to my daughter on how to scrapbook them. They were all cut with the Klic n kut, all done in my free time in one afternoon.

Day 385
Chris from www.visualdesignsbychris.com has some cute cutting files and this is one of them. She had a card made with the Happy Birthday To You on it, I just used the Happy Birthday to you, cut it from white vinyl, and made 4 cards in about 5 minutes. These are 2 of them. Thanks Chris for a quick and easy card!

Day 384
I was looking through old magazines and found a card I liked and decided to duplicate it. The printing was done with the KNK, the cutting was with the KNK also. I changed it just a bit, but it sure was fun to make. The picture is of the card on top of the magazine page with the card. The KNK is so amazing.

Day 382
My Grandson Gavin loves to take pictures. When I decided to get a new camera, I gave him my old camera. And then, I made him his own photo album. :O) The picture of the front is one he took of himself. The lettering is just font matted and cut with the KNK. The paper is coredinations.
The picture on the right is some "art work" that Gavin made using card parts. He is 4, what can I say.
He loves watching the KNK work and when I made something with the pen he said "That's cool Gama...it's super cool". I love that kid!

Day 381
Happy Anniversary to my baby girl #1 and my favorite son-in-law. My daughter Jodie was my one and only baby girl for 11 years until her sister Tashja joined the family. She would prefer to keep that baby girl spot, and so I let her. :O) She now has a baby girl of her own and of course she is mom to my favorite little boy, Gavin. Her husband Dan is such a nice guy, we are blessed to have him as part of our family. Not sure how blessed he feels.:O) I really like this card! The Always and Forever is a My Vinyl Designer file. I had to tweek it a bit to get it to cut right, maybe because it is cut smaller than it was intended. I outlined all of the words once just to thicken them up a bit. They were cut from gold vinyl using the KNK.

Day 380
The exterior of the barn/garage is done!!! We are really pleased with the way it turned out. Now, on to the inside. The goal is to get the downstairs done this year. We just had a soil sample done, the first step in getting a permit to put in a septic system. There will be a full bath in the lower level. Our next step is to complete the wiring, then the plumbing, and then insulation, walls and ceiling. Seeing this is all done in our "spare time" it make take a while.
