Day 650

I received a free sticker in the mail as a promo for something. I have had it for over a year and didn't use it because it was  "too pretty to use".
Then one day it dawned upon me...I could have hundreds of those stickers. I scaned the original sticker, imported it into knk, vectorized it, and woohoo, I can now make as many as my little heart desires. The red card is red coredinations paper and white vinyl, the white card is gemstone paper and red glittery vinyl from KNK USA. My Christmas card making just got easier!
I would be happy to share the file, just let me know that you would like it and where to send it!

Day 649

Last year I made all of my Christmas cards, over 125. This year, if I stay at this pace, it probably won't happen. This card was made using a SVG file from Lettering Delights. The paper is coredinations, the white on the tree is vinyl, the background pink paper was embossed using my cuttlebug. And of course everything was cut using my Klic n kut.

Day 648

It seems like I have had such little time to craft lately, and then 75% of what I make either is totally screwed up or ugly.
Todays card is one that barely escaped being tossed. The poodle and the Happy Birthday were cut from vinyl. The poodle is just a bit odd.

Day 647

I bought this paper with the intention of giving it to my daughter to make a scrapbook page .  Then I used my Klic n Kut to cut the free "eerie-sistible"  file from My Scrap Chick and thought it made a good addition to the paper. Then I thought that if it had a mat it would be already for a picture. I knew that I had a spider web file so I decided to use that for a mat. The black eerie-sistible and the spider web were cut from vinyl, the rest is paper. Now all it needs is a picture of my sweet, adorable Grandkids!

Day 646

A sweet friend gave me an adorable snowman embossing folder from Crafting Essentials and I used it to make this card.
I embossed it on white textured paper, used Stickles to outline the snowman and on the snowflakes. I added gems for the buttons and used an orange colored pencil to color the nose.
The blue coredinations paper was embossed with a 5x7 Cuttlebug snowflake folder  and then distressed.
I feel like I am so far behind with blogging, but I have been busy! Hopefully I will get back to  posting on a regular basis in the near future.

Day 645

Just a simple gatefold card. I am way behind with my cards and have 4 Birthdays this week alone. This card is for a friend's mom who is turning 70. It is a 6" square card. On the outside I scored around the edges, made a blue  4.5" square  and a brown 4" square. I embossed the brown piece with my Cuttlebug and the Birthday word folder, and then lightly sanded it. I cut out the 70 with my KNK...Actually I cut the whole card with my KNK. The Happy Birthday is an extra that I cut for yesterday's card (from I Scrap Design). Anytime I cut a sentiment from vinyl I cut several, I can always use them on a card.

Day 644

I saw this book on line and thought it looked like fun. Rather than buy it I checked it out from my local library. It does have some fun cards, but it does lack good directions.
I used their illustration to design a KNK pattern for this card. It is the card pictured on the right of the cover. The first picture is the front of the card, the second is the card opened. Once the pattern was designed it was easy to make and I would be happy to share the file. The Happy Birthday was from a file I purchased from I Scrap Designs. Not sure where I got the butterfly file from as he has been cut out and waiting to be placed on a card for a long time.

Day 643

I made these Halloween masks with a cut file from Lettering Delights. They are over 8 inches tall, perfect for a child. I bought some elastic string to use to hold them on...now I just need to figure out where I put it. :O) The holes on the masks are big for elastic string so on the werewolf I made them smaller. The skeleton is paper with a black vinyl face, the werewolf is paper with black vinyl for the inside ears, the nose, and the mouth. There is white vinyl for the eyes and teeth. It took just minutes to make them.

Day 642

This card was made with a File from My Scrap Chick. I don't remember the name of the file but it had various cards and envelopes. I made this from double sided paper, a 12x12 piece was enough to do both the card and envelope. The Happy Birthday is vinyl. I liked the way it turned out, mainly because of the envelope. :O)

Day 641

My 2 year old granddaughter loves Tinkerbell. I went online to find a Tinkerbell file and couldn't find one. But I did see on the MTC forum that someone had made a cutting file from a coloring book page. So I went online and found a free coloring book page, saved it as a jpeg, imported it into KNK Studio, vectorized it, broke path, and then spent way too long editing nodes. But here she is. The wings are gemstone paper, the hair and the black background is coredinations paper, the rest is vinyl except for the whites of her eyes which I did with a white sharpie pen. Only her silhouette is black, I took the picture on the bed of my KNK Maxx so it looks like she is on a  black square.
If you would like the file just send me your email address and I will send it to you.

Day 640

I made this for a friend who has a new granddaughter and whose Birthday was last week. Hopefully this has now arrived at her house and it is safe to make this post. The plaque is wood, painted white. The letters and hearts were cut from vinyl using my KNK. The font is 2Peas Loving Essential. I wasn't sure whether to put the bow on or not so I sent it with the bow unattached and the glue dots to attac it if "Grandma Sue" decides she likes the bow.

Day 639

Once again not the best pictures. I found this file while looking through my files and decided to make a trial cut. I again decided to cut the embellishments from vinyl rather than paper. This file cut well and assembled nicely. If I were to make more I would make the roof black and emboss it to give it texture.

Day 638

Happy October!
Not the best picture...sorry. This pumpkin box came from Digital Designs by Stephanie. (FREE!!!) It is super easy to make and holds 3 mini hersheys. She cut the face out of the orange and then put a black circle behind it, I did not cut the face from the orange, rather I used vinyl for the face.
