or you can get on his list by sending a blank email to fontpacks-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and he will send free fonts each week. With the trial pack there were maybe 30 fonts and I deleted all but a handful. I have so many fonts that I only download something very different.

Day 296
Another file from MyScrapChick. This is a flower card. The only thing that I wasn't too happy about is that the hinge part of the card is about 1/4 inch which makes it really flimsy. But it is a cute card!
Both were cut with Coredinations paper and the one on the right has the edges sanded.
The next week will be mostly cards made using MSC files, there are some pretty cute things coming up!

Day 294
This card was made using a file from Ginny's Happy Cuts. Her files are for sale at www.paperthreads.com.
The file had you cut a full card from white and a full card from a colored paper. I didn't like the bulk at the fold so I cut it down so that I only cut the card front from the white. On the yellow card I stamped Thank You. As usual, I smudged it. With the pink I cut Happy Birthday from vinyl and applied it. And the other 3 I left plain , I think they are elegant enough to be plain. This file has been around a while but I love the way it looks.

Day 293
This is a pinwheel card I did a long time ago. The first picture is how it looks folded, the second picture is the inside of the card.
It was cut with my KNK and the Thinking of You is a stamp.

Day 292
This card was made using a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the Congrats and the Scallop was cut with my KNK. Another simple card!

Day 291
These were both made from the same stained glass file by
Ileana from I Scrap Designs, (see link on right). The Happy Birthday card is a 6x6 card. It was cut on my KNK and the Happy Birthday was done by using the pen tool in the KNK. The picture on the right is a 12x12 scrapbook page . I used the same file and just enlarged it. The colors in the pictures are off. The blue is actually a turquoise, the yellow a dark yellow, and the red is a deep pink. They were fun and easy to make. Ileana has many stained glass designs so check them out.

Day 290
The pictures are my beautiful spring flowers in bloom and out concrete! How exciting!
It has been one of those weeks.
Monday and Tuesday I watched my 2 grandkids. They have 2 dogs, Sierra, a mellow black lab, and Milo an adorable Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier mix. Milo is the sweetest guy and Hailey and Gavin can do anything to him and he just looks at them. But Milo has started getting aggressive with anyone who is not a family member. I think he is trying to protect them. They have a huge fenced in backyard so Milo has room to romp but he gets very upset with the neighbors, many of them children. A few weeks ago when I was watching them, Gavin, the 3 year old went out the front door and Milo followed. A neighbor was walking past and Milo went after him like he wanted to kill him. Luckily Milo did not bite him, just scared him half to death. Jodie and Dan talked to their vet, the Wheaton rescue where the originally got Milo 5 years ago, and even had a "dog whisperer" come to the house. After a lot of discussion a decision was made to return Milo to the Wheaton rescue. They found out that Milo's sister was returned to the rescue 2 weeks ago because she also has become increasingly aggressive. They are a non kill and the dogs stay in foster homes not kennels. So when I left Tuesday I knew it would be the last time I would see Milo. If I was in a better place emotionally I would have taken Milo, I love that dog. But it would have meant convincing my husband that it was the right thing, and a lot of work getting Milo to get along with our Weim Amy as they are both alpha dogs, and also to make sure Milo did not kill CAT. I just didn't feel like I had it in me at this point but feel so guilty. Wed., Thursday and Friday were spent getting my eldest son Jim ready for a colonoscopy. He was great drinking 2 gallons of "prep" over 2 days but I couldn't leave him for a minute because he was not able to eat and he is very sneaky. The good news is they didn't find anything unexpected with the colonoscopy. They also did a CT scan but we did not get the results yet. Friday, Jodie and Dan drove from WI to Minnesota to take Milo to his foster home. So when Jim and I got back from his tests we had Gavin and Hailey waiting for us. They spent the night and went home this afternoon.
And to end the week, 26 years ago today our son Josh was born. He has been gone 17 months.

Day 289
This card was made with the leather look contact paper and a Cricut file "thanks" which I cut from vinyl using my KNK. You could use any font and type Thanks and not have to use a cutting file. I really like this card but then I am so partial to black and white.

Day 288
The first picture is our newest project. We are building a "barn" garage. It will look like a little barn and there will be a down stairs for cars and an upstairs for ??? We are hoping to do most of the work ourselves and it already has been a big job. This weekend was putting in electrical and water pipes so that everything is in place for the concrete this week. It involved digging a trench about 4 feet deep up to the building site which muct be about 300 feet away. The electrical wires had to be run through conduit, plastic pipe, before it could be buried. Easier said then done.
The next picture is a card that I made using a cricut file to cut the daisy type flower. I cut 4 flowers for each flower and layered them. The stems are just paper hand cut with my paper cutter. The card is sweeter than it looks in the picture.

Day 286
Spring in Wisconsin. We went from having temps in the 70's to 6 inches of snow yesterday!
And my card making abilities have been much like the weather. When I actually have time to sit down it seems like any creativity has gone else where. Yesterday I made 3 cards, each from My Scrap Chick patterns which are usually pretty fool proof.
The flower pot card is such a cute idea but I never seem to make a cute end result. Maybe because I didn't use the flower that came with the pattern. The Sunny Face was also from My Scrap Chick and once again not so great. The eyebrows and smile are freehand and somehow I managed to make them look evil. The Thanks card is a bit "friendlier" than the Happy Birthday. The Thanks is a Cricut pattern cut from vinyl and the Happy Birthday was also cut from vinyl.I did make a few tiles which turned out great, but then you just cut it out and stick it on, it doesn't require one ounce of creativity.

Day 283
This the season of baby showers. A friend asked me to make her baby shower invites for her sister's baby shower. This was my first attempt, a diaper. It is made to fit into an A2 envelope. I cut it on the KNK and used the cuttlebug to emboss it.
