I'm back! I had a great time at the KNK retreat and learned a lot but have more to learn. Barbie taught a class on scanning a stamp to make a KNK file. Then I came across a blog that had some really neat gift ideas and decided to give it a try. I had bought some CTMH monogram initials a few years ago and they were expensive. I used the letter K 4 times and that is it. I have always felt guilty about how much I spent on them and how little I used them until today! Barbie, I may not be smarter than a 5th grader but I did this!!! I do need to work on node editing as some edges are ragged, but this made me so happy. (Can you tell) It is just on the backing because the only 12x12 tile I had was dark gray but I know I will be making more of these!

Day 153
Just posting to let you know I haven't disappeared. I have been busy and not much time for fun. This coming weekend I am going to Raleigh, NC to take a 3 day class on how to do different things with my wonderful KNK. I am hoping to have some great things to post after I get back. This week is going to be busy. I have the grand kids Monday and Tuesday, I need to have their sweetness around me. Wed & Thursday I will be getting things ready for my trip, and Friday I am off to NC.
This Saturday is Make a difference day, so do something special for someone. :O)

Day 152
This sweet Halloween scrapbook page was made using a file from Jan at Sam and Hailey's designs. It can be found at www.paperthreads.com . It was cut using my Klic n Kut! I love the way that it turned out!
Day 151
2 Pictures today! The first is something my Daughter Jodie made that I thought was cute. She had some help from my Grandson Gavin who made a black spider at daycare. Jodie then decorated the white pumpkins to compliment the spider.:O)
The second is another silhouette image that I converted into a KNK file. I cut it from vinyl, this time using black and red. I then placed some Fiskar dots on each side just to "dress it up". If you would like the KNK file email me at nancyk4@frontiernet.net.
We are having autumn weather, actually cold for autumn. It has been in the 30's and is suppose to be in the 20's tonight!

Day 150
The last few days we have had company.17 turkeys have come traipsing through our yard and then off to who knows where. They are fun to see.
The card for today was a jpeg image that was traced in KNK studio and cut with the KNK Maxx. This file probably wasn't a "clean file" as it seemed to go through a lot of steps in cutting. But the end result turned out cute.
Today is my eldest son's 35th Birthday so we celebrated all day. We are having a family party on Sunday to celebrate his birthday and our youngest child's 25th birthday . And my hubby is on vacation this week so there has been little time for card making. That's okay, it will all be there next week!

Day 149
This luminary made using an Itty Bitty
file from Sam and Hailey's Designs.
http://www.paperthreads.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=66_83
I cut a piece of orange paper 5x8.5 , decorated it with Black Itty Bitty goblins cut with my KNK, and then glued the 5 inch ends together. I had some thin acrylic that I cut 5X9, glued the 5 inch ends and slipped over the orange cylinder. The bottom picture is just of the luminary. The top is with a small battery flicker candle inside. It looks much "cooler" than the picture shows.

Day 148
No new pictures today. This weekend was my husband's 40th class reunion. Hard to believe when you are barely past 40, but it is true. So that is how we spent most of yesterday. The first few reunions were huge "parties", this was much more a " get together".
Today my daughter wanted to paint my grandson's room so I went to watch Gavin and Hailey while she painted. It was "one of those days". Hailey was sick and had to be held, Gavin was sick and decided to be naughty, I opened the door to check on the painting progress and Sierra, the black lab decided to go in and rub up against the wall so that her side and tail were painted tan. We could have used more sitters, Grama wasn't doing so well today!
Darcy from Darcy's designs and Tina from Card-I-ology have their own website now and are offering some "candy". Check it out at http://designingwithdiecuts.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=1&Itemid=18

Day 147
I saw a sweet placemat at Kmart today and
thought "I bet I could cut that"' So I bought it
and used my Maxx, the sliver blade, 95 pressure and it cut like a charm. The letters are 5 inches tall . Don't know what I will do with it but it was fun to try something new.

Day 146
This card was made using stamps from Autumn Leaves Clear Stamps. I am not fond of stamping but this was such a cute set, and a great price.
There were 15 stamps in the set for 14.99 and then I used a 40% off coupon. And to top it off, they stamp perfectly, a nice crisp outline. The Welcome Little one was computer generated. A little ribbon and the card was done!
