Day 595

It is hard to believe it has been almost a week since I last posted. I have a ton of things going on and now that spring has arrived in WI I have a lot of yard work to do. With 3 flower gardens, a vegetable garden, a raspberry patch, an asparagus patch, and 2 pet llamas I can spend hours outside each day and not catch up. And on rain days there is always the house to clean, laundry...oh well.
My mom has a friend, Don ,who is turning 90 soon. So I had to make a 90 card for a guy and guy cards always challenge me. But here it is. I used a browm plaid paper matted with black cardstock. The circles were both cut with my Klic n Kut. The Happy Birthday is a digital stamp that I imported into KNK Studio, added the 90 in the middle, exported as a jpeg, and then did a cut and print.
Blogspot has a new option where you can receive my blogs through email. Because I will be posting less for the next month or so you may want to use this feature. It is rather nice!

Day 594

My Brother's Birthday is Tuesday and I wanted to make him a card. Cards for guys are always hard for me. This was from a My Scrap Chick collection. I made the Caution sign into a card. The inside says "Another Birthday Ahead". The yellow stripes are vinyl, the rest is textured paper.

Day 593

This sweet girl came from the My Scrap Chick Japanese Girls pattern. She was so much fun to make.

Day 592

My sister needed a 50th Birthday card and I needed something I could get done quickly. Rather than selecting paper and then having to coordinate I went with the no fail black and white. The paper is coordinations, the words vinyl. Time from design to completion, minutes.

Day 591

Not sure how much I like this card. The hearts and words are vinyl, the font is Passion Conflict robo. The rhinestones were just to add some bling.

To all the mom's have a good day.

Day 588

Isn't he the cutest! This was made using a free vector file that I found on line. He is cut from vinyl and applied to white colorbok paper from Walmart. My nephew is a police man so this will go to him. I am thinking of making a tile also...stay tuned. :O)

Day 587

The bluebird on this card was a digital download. I am not sure if it came from Shirley Clark at Paperthreads or not, but it makes me think of her. Our Bluebirds returned to our bluebird house about 2 weeks ago.

Day 586

The Happy Birthday to you file from Chris Durham has to be one of my most used files. I used the same card format as yesterday but instead of adding a monogramed letter I added the Happy Birthday to You. The paper is coredinations and colorbok, the words are vinyl.

Day 585

This card was made using the Cameo monogram card file from Ginny's Happy Cuts at Paperthreads. The file has the entire alphabet. I made the letter L for my mom. The paper is coredinations, the letters are cut from vinyl. I love using vinyl for scrolly things...no glueing!

Day 584

Today is my grandkids last day in their tumbling class. They have had a great time learning how to tumble and use the balance beam and parallel bars at the Little Gym in Appleton.
My 2 year old granddaughter is in the "Wiggle Worm" group and my 4 year old grandson is in the "Beasties". Seeing I had the My Scrap Chick zoo animals done I decided to make them into snack boxes and add fruit snack as a treat for the 2 classes.

Day 583

This card was made with a file from Vinyl Ready Designs. I used the congratulations paper matted by black paper and then added the vinyl 2011 which I cut with my Klic n Kut.
For those of you who have heard me talk about my KNK but don't own one, it is an awesome cutting machine. It cuts everything from vinyl to chipboard and once you get the machine there are no more programs or cartridges that you have to buy. There are thousands of free files on line that you can import directly into your KNK studio and then cut. Sandy at I Love KNK is a great person to buy your KNK from. She has the best support, she will have you in love with your KNK in no time!

Day 582

Happy May Day!
Another Nurse Gillian card . With this one I used my Klic n kut to cut an oval out of scrap paper and then set it on top of the stamped image.
