Day 109

I apologize for the quality of the photo, all white doesn't photograph well. This card is so pretty in person. :O)
I used the sizzix wedding set and a gloosy white paper to emboss the cake. I then added little pearls and some diamond stickles. The background of the card is a square sizzix texture plate, and the Always and Forever is computer generated.

Day 108

Day 107

Another ice cream card...I love ice cream! On this card I used Ileana's Ice Cream cone file (http://iscrapdesigns.blogspot.com:80/)
and did a mirror image, Line the two pieces up( It really helps to have the grid on and zoom in so that you can tell the two pieces line up properly), made rectangle, placed it between the two ice cream cones, and then welded all 3 pieces together. The end result is an ice cream cone shaped card. The file was cut with my Klik n Kut, and the ice cream was put through my cuttle bug using the swiss dot and swirl folders.

Day 106

Todays card was made from a file by Ileana at
http://iscrapdesigns.blogspot.com/. She was kind enough to share with us her Ice Cream set. I made 3 cards using it and will feature one each day for the next 3 days. I also cut one out for a scrapbook page. Her files cut so nice. I love the lattice on the cone to make it look like an old fashioned sugar cone. I cut it out using my KNK and then ran the ice cream through the cuttle bug using the swiss dot and swirl folders.

Day 105

This card was made using a Stampin Up set of stamps and colored with watercolor pencils. The saying was computer generated. I hate stamping but I like coloring! :O)

Day 104

This is a 6x6 card with a butterfly that was cut from vinyl using my KNK.

So simple, so sweet!

Day 103

I made this gatefold card for a friend who just passed the state test to be a Nurse Practitioner. It was designed in KNK Studio and cut on my KNK. If you would like the KNK file for this card just email me and I will send it to you.

Day 102

Today I am showing an embossing folder that I made. The design itself was a design that I bought. I used that design& used my KNK to cut it from chipboard.I then put it in my cuttlebug with the A&B plates, the the chipboard,my paper, and then a 1/8 inch thick piece of plumbers gasket. I bought mine at the local hardware store an a 6x6 piece was about $1. Run it through and your paper is embossed. The cool thing is you can use any design to emboss!

Day 101

Congratulations Pam for being the first person to email about my 100th post!

Today's card is a card for Stacy, the person who has been helping with our eldest son Jim for almost 14 years. She takes him out into the community to keep him busy and helps him at his job filling pop machines. She is 3 months older than Jim! She has become a very special member of our family!
I had some scrapbook paper that had numbers on it that I used for the background. So I just used my KNK to cut the 35 from brown paper for the outline and then cut the red paper and put it through the Cuttlebug in the numbers folder. Another card is created!

Day 100

The first person who emails me to say they saw my 100th post will get a free gift. Of course you need to be willing to provide me your mailing address unless you want to come and pick it up!
This card was made using my KNK and Copyist thin font free from Dafont. I am not thrilled with the letter P, I guess I like my p's to be finished. :O) The swirls are so thin, unbelievable that you can cut something that thin. It is cut from vinyl. I really like vinyl. The flowers were designed by Sandy at www.iloveknk.com. They were part of the Always and Forever wedding discussion if you are looking for them and I would think under free members files.

Day 99

It is hard to believe that my next post will be #100! I also can't believe I missed 2 days. Monday we went to see little Lilly at the hospital. She came home yesterday so that is great. Yesterday I was just busy. I will blame it on summer.

Today's card is the card I made for my husbands birthday. It is a cut and print. I cut the circle and scallop with my KNK, designed the words in KNK and exported them to word. I then printed them on regular printing paper, using repositional tape applied the circle over the print on the paper, and sent it through again so that this time the print was on the circle. Make sure you use the export image option so that is is saved as a jpeg rather than KNK file.
On the inside of the card I stamped Happy Birthday.
Tomorrow I will have both grandchildren over night!!! I can hardly wait. Little Hailey Grace will be 4 months old next week so it is about time she came for an overnight visit. :O).

Day 98

Today is my DH's Birthday and I was going to post his card. But my sweet little great niece, Lillian Margaret, had to have surgery today . She had a hole in her diaphragm and her intestines were pushing on her lung. It was a 5 hour surgery, a long time for parents to wait for news on their 6 month old baby.
This brought back way too many memories of our Josh. Tomorrow we are going to go visit. She is at a Childrens hospital which is 2.5 hours away.
Get Well Soon little Lilly!
The card was made using Sizzix texture dies which I used for the white background and for the pink rectangle. The letters were cut from vinyl using my KNK.

Day 97

I love this little bunny. It is from the Sizzix Baby combo and ran through my Cuttlebug. I cut it out and went over the pink with a white crayon and colored the paws and inner ear with a pink colored pencil. The white backgroung is the Cuttlebug Baby folder. So Sweet!

Day 97

I made this card using a Fiskar scalloped punch, the swirl Cuttlebug folder, and a purchased embellishment. I believe it was one that came 4 designs to a card from the Dollar Store. I put a few little pearls in the swirls. This card is one that looks sweeter in person. :O)

day 96

A simple little "just because" card cut from the KNK using a Cricut image

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Day 95

In honor of Michael Jackson I am sharing this card with you. Lisa from the Quilling Patch made a cutting file using a vector image and was kind enough to share it. I cut the image from vinyl using my KNK and it made an easy one piece card.

Day 94

I saw a tutorial on www.splitcoaststampers.com on how to make a picture tile. It looked neat so I thought seeing I had everything I needed I would try it. Step one is to tape tissue paper to cardstock and then print your picture on the tissue side of the paper. Trim to size, cover tile with modgepodge, apply the picture. Well, to be safe I printed 2 pictures. One had spots of ink on it so I went with picture #2. The modgepodge "sucked" the picture down and it had bubbles.
So in a "life is too short" or screw it moment, I washed it off and used the actual picture. I modgepodge it down and then cut the letters from vinyl using Rickles font.
Little Hailey Grace is a sweet baby, always smiling!

Sunday, July 5, 2009

I saw this on another site and checked it out myself. This lady is part of a font from the House of Lime.
I just installed the font to KNK, typed my letter, enlarged her to the size I wanted and cut. There wasn't any node editing, just Klic N Kut!

Saturday, July 4, 2009

Day 93

I made this card for a friend's partner who got a job in the Obama administration! Stan is a great guy and so well deserving of the appointment.
The letters were cut from vinyl using my KNK and place on some red, white and blue paper.
Happy 4th of July!

Day 92

One thing I dislike 90% of the time is double sided paper. There are times when it is great, but generally it just causes me stress...which side to use??? Sometimes you get lucky because one side is sweet and the other ugly. But this piece was so nice on both sides and I hate the fact that no one will see the other pretty side of this paper.
The words Happy Anniversary were cut from vinyl using my KNK. It doesn't get much easier than that!

Day 91

This is what I made for my daughter for another scrapbook page. She wanted the title "Cuckoo Monkey" which I designed and cut in KNK studio. Then I used my KNK to cut out a Jungle baby monkey from Lisa's Precious Piecings.
I can't wait to see what she does with this!
