Day 660

For our Family Christmas we gather at my mom's house and have a wonderful meal. Mom has 8 kids, 16 grandkids, 15 greatgrandkids, and assorted in laws and outlaws. After we eat Santa comes for the little ones, and then the adults have a "White Elephant" gift exchange. The white elephant gifts can range from a beautiful piece of antique furniture from my bother who is awesome at restoring antiques, to a beautiful original water color painting made by my mom, to some disgusting pickled something in a jar that makes it way back every Christmas. I decided to make tags to mark the gifts that are meant for the white elephant exchange. The black is cardstock, the white is vinyl. I love this little elephant and will be using this file again.

Day 659

Today my grandkids had the flu. :O(  That meant I didn't babysit so I had some time to finish projects. This is a little treat box which holds a handful of kisses and Reeses peanut butter bells. I needed something that would go quickly and this was perfect. The box was made from plain red cardstock. The snowflake is from My Vinyl Designers.  It was cut using my KNK from oracal 631 vinyl. I was worried it would be difficult to weed but they weeded like magic.
The grandkids were feeling better by mid morning so I will go and get them tomorrow and they will be here through Christmas Eve morning!

Day 658

Sorry the picture isn't better. This is another file from Lettering Delights. Isn't it sweet! It is all cut from paper with the exception of the white swirls on the tree on the far left which are vinyl. Even at such a tiny size the file cut well on my Klic n Kut. The white background paper was embossed using my Cuttlebug.

Day 657

With almost 2 weeks between posts you would think I didn't have time to make anything. But in the last 2 weeks I have made over 100 cards and countless tiles. Luckily I had a lot of card parts done, several good vinyl files for cards, my KNK and plenty of paper and vinyl. This Santa was a Lettering Delights file I believe. He is cut from paper and the gold stars and reindeer are vinyl as is the holly. The white background was embossed using my Cuttlebug.

Day 656

Still busy with my tiles and Christmas preparations but wanted to share a few things I have been working on. My 87 year old mom is a water color artist and she made a picture of our barn. I took a picture of her picture and printed it and made Christmas cards for her to send. The second picture is a Christmas stocking I made. Well kind of...The stocking itself was purchased at the Dollar Tree last year after Christmas for .50. The name was cut from felt using my Klic n Kut. My sister works at a group home and had a resident pass away and a new  resident move in who needed a Christmas stocking. Pretty nice when you can make a personalized gift for under a dollar!
