This card is the result of a free file from My Scrap Chick.
The musical notes, all of the black on the card, and the Happy Birthday are all cut from vinyl, the rest of the card is
coredinations textured paper. The "Happy Birthday" was
Not part of the file. It is Calligrapher font. And of course it was all cut using my KNK Maxx.
This card was an oops card. When I was cutting my Snow Owl Card from My Scrap Chick I cut all the parts from black thinking they needed a black mat. Well, they didn't so I had a bunch of black owl parts. A normal person would have scrapped them, but I am of the waste not, want not set of mind so there they sat. Of course the wings blended in with the body so I took a grey colored pencil and outlined them to help seperate them visually from the body. He is all paper except for the eyes and the little red heart. The heart was not part of the file but I thought he needed a little something extra. The white on the eyes was done using a white sharpie paint marker. I have had it for several years and it works great everytime I use it. The Happy Birthday is also vinyl.
This card is a combination of new and Card parts. The Happy Birthday is cut from vinyl. It is the card part. Any time I cut something from vinyl I generally cut about a dozen. It makes it so much easier the next time I want to make a card to have part of it done. I really don't remember where the Happy Birthday file came from but if I had to guess I would say I Scrap Designs The white scalloped front is from My Scrap Chicks. They have a set of card fronts and matching envelopes that are kind of fun. It seems like in our family we have a minimum of a half dozen Birthdays a month, usually closer to a dozen, so Birthday cards are always in short supply.
This cute little guy is an new file called Snowman Soup from My Scrap Chick. He is cut from paper except for his face, carrot nose and the holly leaf and berries. He was super easy to make.

The red berries and the eyes are cut from vinyl, the rest is paper. The green background was embossed using the Cuttlebug and snowflake folder. I may be addicted to My Scrap Chick files. :O) These files are the new baby animal treat boxes. I didn't want to make them into treat boxes but thought they would be cute for cards or for scrapbook pages. They are all made from Coredinations textured paper and the eyes are vinyl. They are simple to make and so cute.
This card is from a My Scrap Chick shaped card collection. The fold is at the bottom. I am not sure what I am going to use it for...any suggestions for clever sayings?

This was a valentine card but I changed it to a Birthday card. I probably should have made the bow a different color so it stood out more. It has been one of those weeks where what ever I make isn't "quite right". :O)
