Day 492

Another card parts card. I had this sweet bird cut for so long I can't even remember where the file is from. I used the cuttlebug and the Swiss dot folder for the wings, and then sanded the paper. This is another Birthday card but it could be for many different occasions.

Day 430

I warned you about the brown. :O) Pretty much the same as yesterdays card, just a heart instead of the I Love you.

Day 429

Another card with brown and vinyl. :O) I used the cuttlebug on the gold,  I am not sure the name of the pattern of the folder. When you emboss the paper it makes it a bit trickier to apply vinyl lettering, but it isn't real difficult.

Day 420

This pattern is called a shell box. Again, no memory of where it came from, but it was a free file. It is little, about 3 inches, but so sweet. It would be great for a wedding or baby shower. You could do it in orange and add a stem and it would be a pumpkin. It was cut on the Klic n Kut and embossed with the cuttlebug.

Day 292

This card was made using a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the Congrats and the Scallop was cut with my KNK. Another simple card!

Day 237

This card was made using some cute gift wrap paper. I cut  rectangle with a window cut out that fit the snowman. I ran the rectangle throught the cuttlebug with the snowflake folder. I then attached the gift wrap and window to a baby blue mat and then the whole works to a card.
Although I cut the rectangle with window with my KNK you could use an exacto knife if you don't have a cutter.

Day 225

The Hello Friends was another freebie digital stamp. I cut the red mat and the scallop with my KNK and used my Cuttlebug heart folder on a glimmer cardstock. A piece of ribbon and another card is done. Today little Hailey Grace is 10 months old, she is so sweet, we are enjoying every baby stage.

Day 215

This card was made using the Cuttlebug numbers folder for the background. The scalloped oval was cut on the KNK as was the white oval. I used the cut and print method to add Happy Birthday to the white oval. A bit of black and white polka dot ribbon and the card is finished.
You can't go wrong with black and white. :O)

Day 179

This card is so sweet. It is a 6x6 card and then I made a 5.5x5.5 white piece with a 3 inch square window. It was easy to set up in KNK Studio and I cut 4 white window pieces from a 12x12 piece of white cardstock. I ran it through the Cuttlebug with the snowflake file. The picture in the middle was downloaded from the web and then sparkled with stickles.

Day 166

This card was made with a file that we received as part of the retreat. I love the way the rose turned out. The With Sympathy was a cut and print and then I had a file for the scalloped oval. The green background paper was run through the Cuttlebug with the swirl folder.It turned out to be a very pretty card. :O)
I sure do love my KNK! (And the Cuttlebug :O)

Day 102

Today I am showing an embossing folder that I made. The design itself was a design that I bought. I used that design& used my KNK to cut it from chipboard.I then put it in my cuttlebug with the A&B plates, the the chipboard,my paper, and then a 1/8 inch thick piece of plumbers gasket. I bought mine at the local hardware store an a 6x6 piece was about $1. Run it through and your paper is embossed. The cool thing is you can use any design to emboss!

Day 101

Congratulations Pam for being the first person to email about my 100th post!

Today's card is a card for Stacy, the person who has been helping with our eldest son Jim for almost 14 years. She takes him out into the community to keep him busy and helps him at his job filling pop machines. She is 3 months older than Jim! She has become a very special member of our family!

I had some scrapbook paper that had numbers on it that I used for the background. So I just used my KNK to cut the 35 from brown paper for the outline and then cut the red paper and put it through the Cuttlebug in the numbers folder. Another card is created!

Day 79

This isn't the best picture as the background paper is baby blue and it looks white in the picture. The baby blue paper was embossed with the dots folder in the Cuttlebug.

The What's up and the arrow were cut with my KNK. Another easy card!

Day 71

This card was made with the Cuttlebug Paisley folder on white core paper. After it was embossed I sanded it to have the embossed part white. I then used my KNK to cut "With Love" from white vinyl. The letters are ony 1/2 inch tall so you can see you can get some delicate cuts with the KNK.

A little ribbon and the card is complete.

As happy as I was to get my Quickutz embossing folders, I am sending them back. They say you can use them in the Cuttlebug but you don't get a nice crisp emboss like you do with the Cuttlebug using Cuttlebug folders. They may work better if they were used in the machine that they were made for.

Day 57

So I finally decided to make a card with the flower that I pictured on Day 53. I added a stem and leaves and here is the final result. The flower was designed in Klic n Kut studio and cut with the Klic n Kut. I then used the Cuttlebug to add some dimension. Provo Craft is coming out with new embossing folders for the Cuttlebug in July. Yeah!!!!

Day 53

I haven't made a card from this die cut, and may save it for a scrapbook page. I saw a project on http://www.heartprints.net/, one of my favorite sites.

She had made a flower using a heart punch. I thought "I can do that on my KNK." I made the file by taking a heart, duplicating it, and making them into a circle. I then welded them together. I then cut a circle for the center. Both went through the Cuttlebug Embosser, the yellow with the swiss dot and the brown with the bubble . If you wanted a more daisy type flower you could just cut the individual hears and arrange them into a flower and then have the circle center. If anyone wants the sunflower file it is free for the asking!

Day 47

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Today I made 2 Graduation Cards in the colors of our area high school. For some reason, I very seldom think to use my cuttlebug embossing files on colored paper. I cut out the 2009 with my Klik n Kut and ran the paper through the Cuttlebug, and in minutes I had 2 cards done.

Day 37

This card was made with a graphic I found online. I used 2 cuttlebug borders on the top and bottom of the card, some patterned paper for the background, cut a couple of scalloped circles with my KNK and did a cut and print to make the "Happy Birthday to you" in the circle.

Day 30

This is a card that I designed in KNK Studio, exported to Word, and then printed. I printed it on watercolor paper because it has such a great texture. The brown and wine colored paper were both run through the cuttlebug and the card is finished with a simple ribbon. This would be a great Mother's Day card for all the Grandmother's out there.

I hope everyone is having a great day. It is in the high 50's here in WI so I am heading out to do some outside work.

Day 22

We are finally having some nice weather. I am sure some of you would think it was cold, but it is 45 and the sun is shining! I cleaned out one of my flower beds. The crocus are in bloom and other spring flowers will follow soon.

Today I have a lamb that I made. It is one of the few files I have made on my own! It was designed in KNK Studio and cut on my KNK. The scalloped part was put through the Cuttlebug. If I can do it anyone can!
