Day 696

I had a bunch of these little heart shaped cards made and never used them. It is small enough that it could be used as a gift tag and a Birthday present. Shaped cards are fun to make but so simple!

Day 687

I don't know who the designer of this file was but I believe it was called Dahlia Frame. The white frame, the Happy Birthday, the black scroll, and the flower center were all cut from vinyl. The black backgroundnand the white and black flower petals were cut from textured card stock. And of course they were all cut using my KNK Maxx. :O)

Day 686

I don't think you can go wrong with a black and white card. This is all card parts thrown together for a sweet Birthday card. The white is all vinyl, the black textured cardstock, all cut on my KNK Maxx!

Day 674

I am not sure where the file for this card came from. The black fence is vinyl, the yellow windows a light weight shimmery paper, and the rest is coredinations. I usually buy my paper at Joanns when they have a 5 sheets of paper for 95 cents sale. I tend to stock up which can be helpful when you need to make something at the last minute. Where I live the closest paper store is one hour away so I can't just " run to the store". :O) The lettering on the card is all vinyl. The font is Jester, the scrolly font is Robopassion conflict. And of course it is all cut using my KNK Maxx

Day 667

This card is a card parts card. I could easily make 100 card parts cards. :O)  When I cut a file I have a tendency to cut more than one, I get a bit carried away. But the good thing is I always have a part of a card ready to go. The bad thing is when I make a card I can never remember who to give credit to for the file design. :O(    The font for the Happy Birthday is Jester, another easy to cut and weed font. The Happy Birthday and the flower center are vinyl, the rest is paper.
To make my MIL happy I skipped post 666 and made this 667.       :O)

Day 665

My grandson loves angry birds. I went in search of angry bird files and found SVG's free on www.theladywolf.blogspot.com. If you have a KNK and do not have MTC you can download Inkscape for free, import the SVG into inkscape, save it as an EPS and then import the EPS into KNK. Sounds like a lot of steps but it goes fast and so worth it for a free file. My nephew is having a Birthday on the 9th. Now mind you, he is going to be 36, but hopefully he will like this card. :O)  The black background for the bird is textured paper, the rest is vinyl. I love using vinyl because there is no gluing little pieces! But it would work just as well using all paper.
The site above has many other files like Hello Kitty, Max and Ruby, check it out. If you need help converting just let me know.

Day 662

So I am on a Niece theme. 30 years ago we had a New Years Eve Party at our house. It was all family members and many of them spent the night. On January 1 we had a blizzard, we didn't think that anyone would be able to make it back to their homes. My baby sister was expecting any day, and so they braved the weather to get home. Amanda Marie was born the next day and I was lucky enough to be her godmother. She is now married and mom to 4 year old Drew and 1 year old Annah. Happy 30th Birthday Amanda Marie!!!

Day 651

My son in law has a Birthday coming up. He is the best son in law! He loves to hunt so I decided to go with a hunting themed card. This buck was made using a silhouette I found online and converting it to a KNK cutting file. I cut it from brown vinyl and put it on camo paper. Pretty simple! If you want the buck KNK file just holler!

Day 648

It seems like I have had such little time to craft lately, and then 75% of what I make either is totally screwed up or ugly.
Todays card is one that barely escaped being tossed. The poodle and the Happy Birthday were cut from vinyl. The poodle is just a bit odd.

Day 535

Although I never quite accomplish it, every once in a while I try to clean off my desk top. And it is amazing how many card parts I have. The cupcake and the Happy Birthday were two card parts that I put together for this card. I put foam squares under the cupcake so it stands out a bit.

Day 505

I made this owl a while back and then had no clue what I was going to do with him. This is what I came up with. The yellow paper is much darker than what shows in the picture. The eyes and words are vinyl, the perch is ribbon, and I used stickles on his tummy. You can never have too many Birthday cards!

Day 498

My great niece Lilly turns two today! Her mom calls her Lilly Bug.  For some reason the Lady Bugs on the front of the card remind me of Cockroaches...hopefully Lilly doesn't see them that way. :O)
My mom has a dozen great grandkids from 13 to weeks old. 9 are 4 and under, 8 girls and 4 boys. Talk about fun!

Day 494

Happy Birthday Colleen!                      My friend Colleen sent me the most beautiful card for my Birthday. Although it was wonderful it put me into a panic. :O)  I needed to make her the most beautiful card too. Her birthday was creeping closer and closer and it just wasn't happening. So this is what I came up with, it is the thought that counts. :O) The paper is a double sided "handmade" paper. One side is red, the other white with red hearts. It is just a simple scalloped card and the font is PassionsconflictROB, ny favorite fancy font. Also, Happy Birthday Emily, my niece who happens to share a Birthday with Colleen.
