Day 287

Another flower pot card. This was a combination of something old and something new. I had made the flower pot and the flower long ago. I can't remember the name of the flower designer but she called it her stitched flower. I had cut out a bunch of them so I would have them on hand. The something new is actually old also, but new to me. It is a thanks from Cricut. I converted it to a KNK file and cut out a bunch of them from vinyl. I especially like to do this with words like thanks and Happy Birthday. It is much easier to cut a half a dozen at a time from vinyl and then you have them as you need them. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the edge of the flower pot.

Day 286

Spring in Wisconsin. We went from having temps in the 70's to 6 inches of snow yesterday!
And my card making abilities have been much like the weather. When I actually have time to sit down it seems like any creativity has gone else where. Yesterday I made 3 cards, each from My Scrap Chick patterns which are usually pretty fool proof.
The flower pot card is such a cute idea but I never seem to make a cute end result. Maybe because I didn't use the flower that came with the pattern. The Sunny Face was also from My Scrap Chick and once again not so great. The eyebrows and smile are freehand and somehow I managed to make them look evil. The Thanks card is a bit "friendlier" than the Happy Birthday. The Thanks is a Cricut pattern cut from vinyl and the Happy Birthday was also cut from vinyl.I did make a few tiles which turned out great, but then you just cut it out and stick it on, it doesn't require one ounce of creativity.

Day 284

Sorry about the tiny picture , I swiped it from my nieces Facebook page. Here is my great nephew with his new sister, Annah Marie. She looks like  a toy doll in the picture.
She was 8 pounds and 20 inches and has a head full of dark hair. We are so thrilled to have her in the family!
Happy Easter!

Day 283

This the season of baby showers. A friend asked me to make her baby shower invites for her sister's baby shower. This was my first attempt, a diaper. It is made to fit into an A2 envelope. I cut it on the KNK and used the cuttlebug to emboss it.

Day 282

This little cutie is from My Scrap Chick. It is from the same file as the baby card I made a while back, I just enlarged it.                  Speaking of babies, my niece Amanda and her husband Andy welcome little Annah Marie to their family March 31st. She is just precious. Big Brother Drew has been waiting for her, hopefully he enjoys her. He is almost 3. I had cut a tree from vinyl for the nursey and now that they know the sex of the baby they will put the finishing touches on and I will have a picture to share!

Day 281

It is so hard taking a picture of anything with glass.I am not sure how much I like this end result but I do like the idea behind it. :O) I purchased the gold frame at the dollar store. I would almost bet if I looked I have one just like it that I bought and never used. I cut the blessed from gold vinyl and applied it to the glass. I was going to leave it like that, just the frame and the glass with no backing. But when I put it against the wall there was a shadow on the wall from the letters and it didn't look right. So I put a piece of black cardstock in the frame.
